I can only think of one person. Probably Ron Adee. Did it have a wide body kit with CCW rims, roll cage, racing seat, etc....? If so it was probably him since he also has a sweet Viper. Both his cars won ONE LAP. I believe with the Viper in '98 and with the Z07 a few weeks ago :cheers:
I'll have to ask him to take me out in the Z07 the next time I see him. He gave me a ride in his modded Viper and all I can say is AWSOME! It now has a supercharger :thumbs:

Dennis, I think you are correct. I do remember hearing the name Ron Adee last weekend. Wow, nice Vette. There were quite a few Vipers there with IL plates, I only met two of them. Jeremy Walker and a guy named Steve that had a silver SRT with temp tags that kicked @ss all over the track, especially mine!!! :eek:

Ron's Vette is SWEET!!! Had mine on the track at Road America. Here's a pic of the group of cars that caravaned up there.

I saw Ron and the car last night at the monthly meeting of North Shore Corvette Club. I asked him to compare the Snake and the C5, which he autocrossed at Blackhawk last Saturday. He said he bettered his best time ever by 1 second with the C5, although the resurfacing of the track this year may have had something to do with that. He thinks the C5 has better weight distribution and braking, but gives the torque advantage to the Viper. He was complaining about breaking too soon relative to what he was used to in the Snake. :iagree:
