the camaro group that rents out road america every april checked into indy f1 track supposedly.. rates were obnoxious compared to better road courses.. was a couple years ago.. mostly insurance related costs..
oh well.. can at least say i've walked on the track ha ha.. indy500 this past weekend was a lot of fun.
I may never get the chance to drive a corvette around Indy, but in 1977, the National Nomad Club was allowed to take a few laps around the 500 track in our Nomads. We had just over 300 Nomads go around the track, then park three wide in pit lane for pictures taken from the upper level. Truely a moment to remember!
Unlike the Texas Motor Speedway, many kinda consider Indy to be sacred ground...
I doubt they'd even listen to your offer.
The last time that I know of someone going to ol' Tony George he quoted somthing like $800 for three laps behind the pace car at 90 mph. I'll just save my money and drive 160 on Georgetown road alongside the track.
It's too bad he's so hurting for cash  that he feels the need to rape anyone wanting to drive on his race track.
It would be great to get up to speed on such a nice course but, I will never give that azzhole any of my money.
