Hey just a question on my mind..

I am interested to know what you guys pay for an oil change on your C5's and C4's that use mobile 1. As well as where do you go for oil changes, excluding the do it your selfers.

Just had it changed today 04/05/04 at Elco Chevrolet in St. Louis. $65.62 :eek:

 

10 bucks each for Vipers and Vette @ my local Merlins. I bring my own oil and filter. I guess I get my own group discount. :D

 

Nice.. thats pretty fair labor... What does it cost total roughly... since that only covers the labor..

I'd like to get some more responses too..

1. Case of Mobil 1 Oil at Costco $24

2. Mobil 1 Oil Filter $12

3. Labor at Ogden Chevy $12-15

 

Paid $65 at local lube place.

 

$68.00 and I use my own K&N Filter...but I use 8 quarts!!!

Ogden charges me about $75 if they supply the oil and filter

 

$38.00 at walmart thats for 7 qt mobil one (only use 6.5 and take the other half quart home) and the upgrade tough gard fram oil filter...........

 

So generally most dealers are 66+ roughly? and most places don't include any type of inspection with that price.. And I know how one dealer is.. basically it's a drain and refill and throw on a filter. Most Dealer techs make very little money on an oil change, so they care less about quality. as where other places check fluids inspect brake hoses, rad. hoses, belts, suspension ect.. Many of our vettes do not recieve the detailed care they deserve.

So if someone offered an oil change for 50$ or 55$ W/Mobil 1 and a stock delco filter (can be substituted) and included a basic inspection. Would most of you be interested?
