I absolutely had the time of my life, there were only 8 cars and we all had as much track time [85 miles on my car] as we could handle. Thanks to Rich and the gang for all the instruction and pointers. I managed to drop my lap time over 13 seconds by the end of the night. What a great facility, hopefully next time some more of the Motor City Vettes will make the drive.

Mike,
Glad you enjoyed it. If there is any interest we can try to get something together in early September. We just need about 10 cars.
Wow, you must of been reading my mind, I was just going to make a post and ask how it went. Glad to hear you had such a good time! I would like to try and make any future plans to go there.

i have had my corvette for 2 years and this is the best time that i have had with it. this was way better than drag racing or autocrossing.
i really want to thank the more experienced guys for helping us newbies, especially AL. AL, you really took a lot of time showing me the ropes and i appreciate it. i can't wait to go back to gingerman.
will try to do it in September for sure, first few weeks are out [labor day, anniversary] but after that, like mid-month... I think with enough lead time I can bring a couple more cars, I like it in small numbers though
New tires Monday night, new pads and rotors too, thinking about the Raybestos rotors everyone talks about on here, still on the fence about pads, but more than likely Quietstops....
For the several times a year I go to the track, I can't put all track oriented stuff on...

You really don't have to do a lot for occasional track use but you might want to reconsider the ceramic pads. When they get hot most of them go away.
The Raybestos rotors are terrific. I'd pay a lot for them. Fortunately they are only $20.00!
