Corvette Troy is one of the oldest Corvette clubs in existence (and maybe the oldest). I know quite a few people from it.
Keep in mind that most local Corvette clubs look at the internet-car-enthusiast community as a threat to their existence. So, any local club members that frequent Corvette Forum probably keep a low profile while visiting here.

That's a shame......
The reason I was asking is that their web site says they have an x-cross coming up that is open to the public. I have never done anything like this and may give it a shot. I was sort of wanting to talk with someone from the Troy Club about their club, as since I am so close, and they are so respected in the world of C.V. clubs, I might just join.
It would seem to me, that clubs such as Troy should use the WWW to HELP the club, rather then looking at the www as the enemy.
I always participate in one of therir competition events ... where they rent out the dragstrip at KilKare.
I generally attend all their autocross events held there as well; though I only spectate at those.
Yes the Oct 17th one. I am just gonna show up. I don't have a clue what to expect. All I know about x-cross is ya drive as fast as ya can around some cones, and your tires go up in smoke.
It sounds like you don't do the x-cross but go and watch?
