Me, too. I even cleared my cache, and nothing changed. I was going to try changing the e-mail address the forum sends to, but a moderator that recently contacted me said he doubted it would help. He's looking into it, though.

I'm almost ready to re-subscribe under a different name, and see if that works, because I agree, checking all your subscribed threads is a real pain.

My next move is to change my e-mail address. (I have a work one) and see if that corrects the problem.

Keep me informed of any progress. Use this thread, and I'll let you know how the e-mail change goes.

WHO-HOO!

I opened my work mail this morning and was greeted by ten Forum E-mail replies.

So now I'm going to switch back to my original E-mail to see if there server accepts the change. Stay Tuned!

Congratulations. OK, so here's what I did:

1) I subscribed again under a different user name and used a different e-mail address on the same standard ISP, SBCGLOBAL.NET. I never received a welcome e-mail.

2) I just changed my original account's e-mail address to something on my company's mail server.

If you would be so kind as to post a reply on this thread, if I am as lucky as you, I will receive my notifications again. Now, where's that darned icon with crossed fingers?!

I think the mail server on this forum might be blacklisted or something because I did not receive a notification a the new company mail address, and I still have not received a new member welcome e-mail on the new account.

..... you can tell from the smell that all is-not well.....

This happened to me again a few weeks ago, but once rectified, I am getting some notifications from a few days ago, and a few from comments not posted-yet!!!!!

i.e. - the comments aren't posted until a later time.....

I switched back to my original E-mail account hoping there servers would recognize it. No such luck.

But at least I'm getting Email confirmations back on my Yahoo E-mail account. But in my book that's still not a fix.

I think I need to contact a IP mod. Do we have anybody like that on the board?

The forum sends notifications to my Gmail account but I hate the way Gmail works with my Treo (once downloaded on the treo they are removed from gmail despite settings to leave a copy on the server).

So I switched back to my old ix.netcom.com account that worked great for 5 years until recently.....I'll chime back in if it works.

Below is a header I got from an e-mail from the forum. Note what I highlighted. I figured out that if you make a hole in your spam filter, you can get the mail. What a headache to try and trace WTF happened all of a sudden. The problem started when the CF switched hosting servers. Looks like the host's mail servers are known to be used for spamming. GREAT!

Well thats just SWELL.

How in the heck am I going to convince Netcom, now owned by Earthlink, to remove whatever server Corvetteforum uses from the blacklist?

Sheesh. Seriously, any ideas? Why would they listen to me??

I take it you're having a problem with e-mail notifications, as well?

Depends on the level of blocking Earthlink is doing, see if you have a spam filter on Earthlink. If so, see if you can create an "exception", or whatever term they use on Earthlink, for all messages coming from "corvetteforum.com". I did this on SBC/AT&T and it worked. Post up your results so other members can benefit from your efforts.

I am having the same problem with both this forum and LS1Tech. Worked fine until recently. Earthlink is my ISP. I looked at the Earthlink SPAM filter stuff and see no way to allow mail from the CorvetteForum domain. I only see how to block stuff. What a drag.

I am in the exact same situation as you. I can't figure out how to un-block the Internet Brands servers from Earthlink so I switched to gmail. I don't like it but it works.

At my business sometimes we get blocked by Comcast or email hosts for spam. But we, the sender of the message, get the fault message when we send emails and we take care of it. In my experience all email hosts allow the sender of the email to get their host off a system level blacklist, but it's the sender of the email that has to do it not the recipient of the email (who normally doesn't even know such emails aren't being delivered to the mailbox).

If I was was Internet Brands I would be fixing this right away - not relying on the end users of the forum to try to fix it. I believe they want folks like us to traffic their site. When they make it too hard for me I don't traffic their site.

Has a mod even chimed in on this thread?

No moderator has chimed in on this thread. In fact, I initially PM'd 4 different moderators, and only one even replied. And that one tried to help, but couldn't and passed my info to someone else who never replied.

I posted two new threads on the general forum about this issue, and I don't know why, but both threads were immediately locked by moderators. This one will probably get locked now, and I think I might even get the boot here, all because I tried to help? I even forwarded my e-mail header directly to the moderator I was in touch with, so he could pass that on to the admins.

On Earthlink, is there a Bulk Mail Folder option you can enable, which enables all blocked mail to collect in the Bul Mail folder? If so, messages from the forum will go into that folder, and from there you might be able get your hands on a CF message that was blocked and tell Earthlink's spam monitor to allow all messages from this sender, or something to that effect.

Well, looks like you and I are the coyboys here fooling with our rights here on corvette forum . I got a thread locked with no explanation on General forum too. If they boot us I'll see you at digitalcorvettes.com

I bit the bullet and switched to Gmail so I'm fine now. I'd suggest you do likewise, Gmail allows free PoP3 access that I got working acceptably with my Treo. I just hate the way gmail threads emails but I'll learn to live with it.
