Some questions about the sidebar stuff...
What do those stars under the forum name mean, and how can you put the "My Corvette photos" link as well as other text there, such as hometown etc.? I cant find anything that seems to have something to do with that stuff in the CP.

Stars under your username deal with the number of posts you have made. The Help and Feedback section of CF has a thread that shows how many posts it takes for the stars to be added or change colors.
When you click on the User CP button, the pop-window shows an Edit Profile tab in the Settings and Options section. Click there and you can update personal user info. You can display your city or some text that will fit in the city box and show up. You can also create a signature in the User CP and display it in posts.
The My Corvette Photos is a link to the CF Photo Gallery. There is some problem with the software right now that is preventing photos from being loaded. When it works, you can upload 3 pics for moderator approval and they will do the final upload. Once you have pics there, the text string will show up.
In the meantime you can use a photo hosting service to include pics in a post using IMG tags.
