you must have your pic located on an internet connected server somewhere.... in a location where it can be accessed by typing in a url.
a link to a pic can be placed within a post just by simply typing in the URL and it will be hyperlinked by the forum software.
here is an example:
http://mikemercury.home.att.net/shifter5a.jpg
if you click on that link, a picture should appear.
To make the pic automatically appear within a post, just add [img] to the beginning of the URL; and [/img] at the end of the url.
and here is the same pic, just automatically loaded now because of adding those two items - one at the beginning - and at the end of the same URL:
there is a "Testing" section of the forum where you can experiment with this.
