if members are going to talk about how great their products are, especially engines, and have other members chime in like they were members of the same financial choir, then they should be required to post prices too.

there are many such rules in business. if you are going to represent your product, then you should have to post a price. and the choir members should have to post their affilitation to the golden product while singing its praise.

i know that most members see these maneuvers for the crap they are, but fresh members can be hurt possibly making the forum liable, especially if the minders have been forewarned of the crap.

What you describe is not allowed on CF. If you see something like this happening you should click the little red triangle on the left of the post to notify the moderators.
If the vendor is a forum sponsor than they have more freedoms to post.
Just curious, have you read the stickies on the top of each forum. They are updated occasionally, but give many rules including the one you list.
Don't forget to use the search function. When it is working it will give you alot of info - most relevant items have been discussed at least once - the C4 has been around for a few years

PS. Welcome to the forum & THANK YOU for your service to this great couintry.
