I looked in the FAQ section and didn't see any info on removing a thread after the problem is solved. How do I remove a thread after I have solved my problem? Thanks for your help, MiMitch
Why do you want to remove the thread? The issue may help someone later on that has the same problem you did. Besides that I'm not sure how you can delete a whole thread.
Take Care
Leave it for others to read later.
The forum archives are a great asset to me and others like me with mechanical abilities, but limited experience. Many times I have been able to repair or modify something myself after reading about others' experiences. Today, I am finishing the replacement of my rack & pinion assembly. I never did one before, but went into it with the experience of many here who have.
There is no such thing as thread removal, but there are archives.
And we move threads as well, like this one whcih will end up in "HELP"
As long as nobody replies, the thread will simply fall to the back pages and eventually become archived for a future search(when the search is cooperating that is).
Posting in the wrong section could be one reason for deleting a post. If I do that I just delete the text and add "Posted in the wrong section, please delete". It's funny how many hits you get on a thread that you want deleted.
