I am trying to add a profile pic to my profile through "edit profile picture and it is not working. My reduced my picture to 250 X 180 pix. Picture shows in edit profile but not in my posts. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks,
Dave K.

There are 3 "pics" associated with members. Let's make sure we are talking the same "lingo"...

The pic under your forum name (Alfred E Neuman) is an AVATAR. It shows with each post.

The pic underneath your posts (4 vettes, strobe, etc) is called a SIGNATURE. It shows when you make a post, select the "show signature" check box.

The one you loaded is the PROFILE pic. It is ONLY seen when someone clicks on your forum name to see more info about you.

It appears you loaded the PROFILE pic with the intention of an AVATAR pic.

The avatar pic must be 150x150 and 29k or less. Give that a shot and see what happens

You are right. My edit profile pic is 250 X 180 pixs but how do I get the avatar pic to upload under my forum name? I assume that I'll need to reduce the pic to 150 X 150 first?

Regards,
Dave K.

Yes, you will need to reduce it first or it will fail upon uploading.

You go to the UserCP to change all three pics, Edit Avatar, Edit Signature, Edit Profile Pic. They are each slightly different on how they are used, so the mechanisms to upload and/or make appear are different. But the Avatar and Profile Pics use the same mechanism for upload.
