That sounds like a browser issue. It also sounds a little like the way popup blocking may work. I looked in TOOLS/OPTIONS Advanced tab for something that may cause it, but nothing jumped out at me. For the moment, I don't know what would cause the original one to close. Using IE?

Correct, IE,it's like it will not allow explorer to be opened more than once.I can't figure it out.

Have you done the 1) clear cache, 2) clear cookies, 3) delete all temporary internet files?

Does it only do it on the forum?

In doing a google search, I found:

Start->Control Panel->Regional & Language Options-
>Languages Tab->Details->Select Speech Recognition->
Press Remove->Press OK

Close all instances of Internet Explorer
Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
Double-click Internet Options.
Click the Advanced tab.
Under Browsing, click to clear the Enable third-party browser extensions
(requires restart) check box.
Restart Internet Explorer.

Longshots, but at least some things to try....
