As the day that my dream comes closer (e.g., ownership of a new vette), I have been using this forum to educate myself on the true meaning of ownership. As such, I have found this forum to be valuable and have decided that when I get my car, I will also support this forum.

Aside from the memory differences allocated to Gold vs Silver members, there is this thing about the Steering Committee.

Can someone explain what that is and how it serves this forum? What value would participation on the steering committee have to me, a new owner of a Corvette?

The steering committee is a section of the forum where other gold members can make suggestions regarding the direction of the forum Some of the things that have come about in that section are 1) animated avatars for gold members and 2) customized "community" on the left side of the screen to help get to the forums you are interested in faster.

Other discussions include bringing the babe section back, WAP support for mobile devices, new forum section s and other ideas.

What relationship does the steering committee have to the Forum management and owners? How many Gold members are there?

I don't know the breakdown from there. Troy, being the owner, monitors that section and makes comments, asks questions, and poses new questions.
