We recently upgraded to Verizon DSL and are running Windows XP on a Dell system. Many (but not all) pictures that come thru now look like they were produced by NASA cameras-you know, like a whole series of little square boxes laid next to and above and below each other to form a larger, but very unclear, picture.
We've found that if you right click on the fuzzy picture, a box/window appears with numerous choices, including Show Original Image and Show All Original Images. A left click on either one of these instantly transforms the picture to crystal clarity.
A call to Verizon said it wasn't their problem, but rather was probably with our settings or something. Our laptop, which connects wirelessly to this unit works perfectly.
