Thanks
I am not aware of a timeout feature for making a post, thread or poll. Maybe there is though. This is the first time it has beeb brought to my attention.

Try doing it in the Testing Section and see if you can there. If successful, I can move it to another section when complete.

I am not sure what it is about your poll that takes more than 5 minutes to do. Is it the number of choices? If so, you can build your verbiage in notepad (or word processor), then when you start building your poll you can "copy & paste" info between them and cut down the time.

Thanks for the reply, It seems once you have the wordage in the thread and go to the poll options fields, you only have 5 minutes to complete that step. A message comes up saying you only have 5 minutes to add a poll after posting a thread. I didn't realize the thread posts before you complete the poll. I am doing the copy and paste, but I also have 30 poll options Maybe I need to test my speed to see if I can get it done quicker.
I have tried adding to it in the test section, but I can't get the poll options to come up,that would sure work well if it did, more help ?
Thanks, Greg

My advice is to not have a poll with 30 options.

Create one with more generic, then let others add options to the poll.

Or you may just want to add a question and let the thread respondents just give feedback. 30 option poll may lose the attention of those you wish to respond.

I created one in the test section with 20 options using a cut & paste with very short words.

Don't know if I can help much more on this one.

Thanks appreicate your advice

Not sure how others can add options to the poll, unless you mean starting another one ? There isn't a way for me to come back and add options to my poll is there ? It's more of a model year/option poll, so I am reluctant to narrow it down.
I may be able to get it, up to 27 options in 5 min.
