If you are using the smilies that are part of the forum, just click on one and they will appear in your post (as code). When you submit the post they turn into the smilies.

You may try this out in the forum's testing section

I apologize if I am being stupid and just overlooking something simple, but I don't see any emoticons to click on. Could it be my computer of browser?

I assume you mean if I click on the "edit" icon, but no, I don't see any emoticons.

When you clicked on the link above, did you see the attached picture? If so, the emoticons (smilies) appear on the right side of the edit window where you are posting.

If you don't, then try going to your UserCP, Edit Options, scroll down to Visible Post Elements and make sure all 3 options are checked.

Did you try going to your UserCP, Edit Options, scroll down to Visible Post Elements and make sure all 3 options are checked?

This should work in IE and Firefox for sure and I would have thought most other browsers...

I figured it out. You atleast got me pointed in teh right direction. The necessary changes were made in "Message Editor Interface." Thanks again for your help.

Changing that from Basic to Standard fixed it? Glad you were able to figure that out so I can remember it next time!
