I'm trying to add a signature graphic via the linking to my server but get an error Invalid URL whenever I try it. Here's the graphic image I am trying to use -> http://www.corvetteflorida.com/pics/RichZ_sig.jpg
Uploading from my local drive won't work, because the maximum size limit is only 19K. At 500x100 for the max size, even a 1 pixel monocolor image would be 50K, so why such a restrictive size setting? yeah, I know, bandwidth, but still, the file size limit in relation to the image pixel dimensions doesn't make much sense to me.
So what am I doing wrong with the first part of this question?
So I just bypassed it by using the IMG tags around the URL. Still not sure what is wrong with the URL link though. Unless the 19.5kb limit applies to the URLs linked in the signature as well as the upload process. But not sure why the IMG tags would work then........

Thanks.
I see now. I have never used that feature to get a signature to show. I don't think it has always been there and may have come after one of the upgrades. That is the same type message shown for avatar restrictions too, and I get more questions about those and the "invalid url". Using the image tags around already hosted pics bypasses that size restriction.
