I search for "LSX", nothing... So I tried it a few more times and nothing. Then I searched for "corvette" and got tons of results as expected. Then I searched for LS1 and I got nothing which seems like a boldface lie, I know I have seen that word somwhere on the forums . All searches were performed on all forums and all text... What gives?

I think the search feature works and is indexed on words 4 letters or more.
Forget the forum search function. Use Google instead. For example, for your LSX search, enter LSX site:corvetteforum.com. This will return about 784 hits on the term LSX and will limit the search to only corvetteforum.com.
