I don't think I changed anything, but my smilies/emoticons are no longer animated. 
They are there, but the ones that used to be animated aren't anymore. Please point me in the right direction.

I can't think of anything that would stop them from not being animated. But try going to your browser and deleting all your temporary internet files and see if that does anything.

Problem solved..........
I was able to track it down to the firewall which is included with my anti-virus package. I disabled it and turned the windows firewall back on and now all is well.
