We are looking into the database errors.
Sounds like it's gone... just like a section of the archives after one of the "server" upgrades.
As I understand it, the home pages have not been lost, but the software Troy used to manage the homepages was not transferred to IB and remained on Intechnic servers until about two weeks ago.
At that point, Troy moved his other automotive enthusiast sites away from Intechnic and the home page management software disappeared in the process.
I think that must have been about the time we were no longer able to log on to the home pages.
An upgraded version of that software is available. Whether it will work on the home pages created with the older version of the software will have to be determined.

This is the kind of problem I think we'll start to see crop up with the aquisition of this site by Internet Brands. This site is just one of many owned by IB and for this reason we'll never see the personal touch and attention to these minor type issues that we did when Troy owned the site.
Had this issue cropped up when Troy owned the site I'm guessing he would have posted some type of message advising members to save any files stored on homepages prior to the recent changeover in the event that information was lost.
I could be off-base with this assumption, but it certainly seems to be the case in my opinion.

I know I could get in last week, FWIW. Everyone started having problems one week ago right around the time Nate started this thread.
it would have been nice if Troy had posted in OT to let us know he was changing the server........so we could get anything off of our pages that we wanted

We have sent an inquiry to Intechnic to see whether they can send us a dump of the old database. If they can, we can get it up and running. If they can't or won't, we will not be able to fix this. The database holds login information, maps usernames to the directories all the stuff was in, etc.
In the case that we are not able to get a database copy from Intechnic, you can still go to any of the homepages and do a File->Save. It should grab the whole page, images and all. You'd have to do it once for each page on your site.
