The Quick Reply Button Dammit

I've sent a note to 2 mods and made a post in OT, but this revision is really pissing me off.
When I hit the quick reply button in a thread it automatically posts my sig to the reply. This started on Thursday.
Only does it on Quick Reply, not on quotes, not on regular replys. Did I mention it is pissing me off?
I try and remember to hit the button to turn it off, but that, and having to edit the post when I forget to do it, kinda defeats the purpose of Quick Reply.
Please ask whoever screwed this up, to kindly reset the default to "off"
