Ever since the forum went down on Thursday for a short time I have not been getting any email notifications.

Am I the only one?

I think there was one other report. I don't know what the issue could be except with the IB servers that hold that info.

Did you setup your preferences to send you e-mail notifications?

What notifications are you not receiving?

I do not receive my notifications as they are being posted. It seems that they all come at once overnight.

Yeah, that's happening to a lot of folks. Whether it's thread reports from users of PM notifications, mine are arriving several hours later.

I'll pass it along to IB.

No notifications here either. I'm using gmail to get instant notifications which has been flawless until just recently.

A slew of notifications arrived today.

E-mail notifications were/are enabled. I was not receiving any notifications (PM, reply to...etc) but then today a bunch showed up. Go figure.

I am using GMAIL as well. Perhaps GMAIL programmers only drive imports and this is their way of trying to get even?!

LOL! I got a slew of them yesterday also, and they are coming in real time again. I guess there was a bottleneck somewhere that's now fixed.

No. I've not received a single email notification in weeks. I've reset my profile preferences and email address a dozen times with no change. It's difficult to follow threads. I just now found this while doing a search to see if I was the only one not getting notifications.

Two issues here.

#1, our mail servers sometimes get inundated with spam and it takes awhile for them to zap it all. This can cause delays in mail delivery.

#2, email service providers sometimes get suspicious of the mail we send because it is all very similar (for example, thread subscription updates - we might send 100 of these at a time, and since they are all done automatically from a template, they look very similar.) The best thing you can do is add forumsupport@corvetteforum.com to your contact list or whitelist, which in some cases will let the mail service provider know that we're not trying to spam you. The other thing you can try is, write to your email service provider's support and let them know you're not getting mail from forumsupport@corvetteforum.com.

Did that and nothing happened.

I don't see why that would be the problem. I've been getting the notifications for years then all the sudden with no change they stop. It's been well over a month since I got email notifications. It's not our email it's the site.

My problem resolved itself shortly after my original post, not sure why or how. It does not seem to be a widespread problem at this time.

Good luck.

My easy solution that has been perfect is to get a free gmail account and move my notifications to that account.

Turns out I like gmail better anyway as storage is virtually unlimited, you can send huge files, and IMAP works great on my iphone and treo and computer keeping my account in sync on all machines.

So the problem with the forum turned out to be a cloud with a very silver lining forcing me to use gmail which I now like a lot.

I've already given you the best advice I can. We have no control over spammers, and we have no control over whether your ISP mistakenly thinks that a thread update is spam.
