I have reduced a photo to 100 x 75 in photobucket but can not make it into an avatar. What exactly must I do? I have no problem using photos in photobucket in threads I start here.

What do you mean you can't make it into an avatar?

Any photo/image smaller than 150x150 and 29k will work.

Can you provide us a link to that pic so we can review?

Also, you can try uploading it from your hard drive to see if that works any different.

I can not get the reduced sized picture from photobucket or in my pictures to work when I use the edit avatar in the user CP section. Attached is the photo.

Thank you Ron. You save my PC from an awful fate. I am from the days of the slide rule but I try to learn. If you have a chance can you tell me what I did wrong.
Thanks again
Doug

It worked for me without changing anything at all.

I right-clicked on your photo, then selected properties, highlighted the name and copied it.

Then I went to the Edit Avatar form and pasted the name into "Option 1 - Enter the URL to the Image on Another Website"

Then I clicked on "Save Changes"

Boom! Your photo is my avatar. I've since changed it to one of mine though.
