Tried several times to 'search' for a C5 Parts thread I put up a few days ago, and added to yesterday. I get that there are no threads started by me. The thread was 'F/S Body side moldings.'
In fact I get nothing when I have posted and sold a couple of items. Help, and thanks.
Search is finishing up building it's index -- we cranked up the site after last night's update as soon as we could, so people could jump right on the site. It should be caught up by lunch time.

I have a suggestion that I'm not sure has been covered - I didn't know where else to post this as the suggestion thread in OT is locked.
It looks like the default search function is set for a search of lists and threads "forever."
The only way to change this is to click on the "Advanced Search" link. I think it makes much more sense for the default search to search for threads in the options of "days" or "weeks." Few people, I think, want a certain term to be found and returned, by default, through every thread that has been posted since 2001. If they do want that, then they can change the options in the advanced menu. But as it is, I think simple recent searches (recent news or discussion terms) makes much more sense. Or, alternatively, at least the default returned matches could be sorted by post date rather than relevance. That makes more sense, too.

my favorite search was new threads in advanced search for a certain section. what this did was post all the new threads and not include new posts. so that all you saw were the new threads and did not have to sift through all the new posts on the old threads mixed in with the new threads. and.......... you did not have to put anything in the search line, it is required now.
I tried a search for recent threads, and I got very little, then when I went to advanced, same thing. I know this will take time to work it all work out, so I am trying to be patient. At least now no one can tell me to go search the threads and have a leg to stand on if I dont like they have in the past!

I am noticing that I still can't open older threads that are found when searching. I know the information I need is in some of these older threads, but I can't open them
