I have posted a new thread on 'C5 parts for sale' to sell my factory radio. I know I have put it up twice in the last few days. I know because I have someone interested in it ... have received a PM. However when I do a search for my threads on C5 parts for sale, it doesn't show. What's happening?

I have no idea....and apparently neither does anyone else.... I could not find it either...
The thread is still there, it just wasn't "indexing" in the search directory because the search function bumped into an error message and "paused" the refreshing of the search database. Here's your thread:

This has happened to me also today. They just disappear into thin air. Wonder if it has something to do with subscribing to them? The older thread I still have is fine but newere ones over the past few days don't get past page one before they go poof!

So, your complaint is not that the threads don't index in your "recent topics" search, but that they don't appear in the section where they are posted?

Correct, but it seems ok now today. When I clicked for the thread in recent topics yesterday i got one of the "you do not have access" messages.

Yes, all of us have been getting assorted error messages for the past week or so. It seems to be better now, but I think the server performance and database issues have been addressed, rather than having been resolved.
I've run into situations where some of the posts I have made have not indexed into the search database in real time, as they should, but I have been able to find those posts/threads be searching manually for them.
Granted, I haven't spent a lot of time trying to track all of my posts/threads during the past week, so can't say I was able to find all of my posts/threads -- just the ones I looked for. And, yes, if what I was looking for was in an active section where threads quickly are pushed off the first directory page, I'd often give up the manual search as being too much trouble.
Just reminds me how dependent I've become on some of the features that make using the Forum so much more user friendly today than it was in 1999 and how frustrating it can be when things don't work the way we're used to them working.
