One can only hope that the technical marvels reveal themselves on the upgrade Oct 1st. Sure hope it isn't another nightmare..........Once upon a time this forum functioned flawlessly for quite a looong period of time. Then they dove in to fix it....
It looks like speed is back up to normal...I guess the server upgrade really helped in that regard. Thanks for that!!
Has anyone noticed any problems yet?
The server upgrade message is gone now so maybe the upgrade was done.
It took 45 seconds to just open the reply page so I could type this. During this AM (Pacific Daylight Time) page loading has been very slow, then it speeds up, then slows down.
Before the second attempt at upgrading the servers, the slowness was blamed on load balancing of the existing servers. That's all fine and well, but having this roller-coaster effect again is probably not a sign that this upgrade worked well.
Yeah, I noticed the upgrade message from savewave was already removed.
It's must be as disappointing to the admin/moderators as it is to the members. It sure is frustrating...
It seems to be a volume thing. It is fast early in the morning when no one is on. Once the bandwith starts to get eaten up it bogs down.
The database errors are something else. I was receiving them this morning 20 minutes after the server upgrade. There couldn't have been a dozen people on the forum already.
When the site is slow and frustrating we complain, when the site is back up and running fast, it's taken for granted.
Thanks for the efforts to address the issues!
