I've noticed posts that have been edited, after they have been viewed and other people have posted, yet they don't show as being edited. How does one edit a post and have it not show as edited?

That I have not seen before. Anytime I edit a post it shows that I have. The only time I thought it wouldn't is if there wasn't another post after it...

I believe you can go back and edit your last post within around 4-5 minutes of hitting the "Submit Reply" button before the "edited by" tag line shows up.

You can also do additional edits within that same time frame. I've done that before where I had forgot to add a sentence and then gone back again to make a spelling correction. As long as your quick, the tag line won't appear.
