i see how to get to the area to send a pm but how do you address a member. tryed coping name and it did not accept it. can all members receive pm.
Not all members accept Private Messages. This can be disabled, by the user, via the UserCP section under the Edit Options: Private Messaging section. It can be turned off, or limited to receiving only messages from staff and contacts.
Make sure you entered the username correctly. Or, you can simply visit the member's profile field and click on the Send a Private Message to (user name here) link, as shown below:
If you don't see the "Send a Private Message to (user name here) link like you see in the attachment above, then the user does not accept Private Messages.
