Default CF running slow lately?

I thought it was just this computer but it's the same on my office computer as well... anything going on that has been causing this lately?

For the last couple of days at times at times it is running slowly. I also have gotten a lot of those "time outs" popping up. Funny you shift to another thread and then go back to the thread that is giving you trouble and it then works OK.

Yeah I'm getting a lot of the time outs as well.. it takes forever to open my UserCP and also when I post it takes forever for it to actually post up.

This has been reported lately...

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/help...r-timeout.html

But that was "explained" by some "regularly scheduled backup script went on Tuesday instead of Wednesday night. I think that’s the reason for the error messages and slowness."

However, if it is happening at some other time, then I can forward that info on.

Beren happening ths morning and at this time too. What's strange is that it's not everytime I open a thread or reply to a given post.

Sometime when I wait for a page to load, I will hit the Stop Load button, the page will stop loading and then I'll hit the Refresh button of F5 key and the page immediately loads

And occasionally, I have to wait for one of the ad servers to respond so the page will load. ads.doubleclick is the worst offender.

Still runs slow this morning. I can bounce between threads for 10 minutes or so and then I see waiting for forums.corvetteforum.com or "connecting to...." Sometime simply replying to a post, I'll see waiting for.... Then I get a Firefox time out screen. But hitting F5 will immediately refresh an existing page or load the new page.

The ads (it's still ads.doubleclick.) are still sometimes slow to load or at least get to their servers but there's probably not much of anything that can be done about that.

I'm getting the same thing again, only this time (12:30 PDT to now) it seems to be much worse. Seems like every 4th or 5th time I hit xmit to view a thread or post a reply results in a "connecting to.." or 'waiting for...."

I was trying to figure out if it was computer, or internet connection or the forum. Now I know I'm not alone.

I'm getting this a lot this morning. Have the database errors now been replaced with the page not found errors?
