The thread title can be edited within the thread, but the title that appears in the thread list doesn't change. I don' think it's ever been possible to edit the thread title as it appears in the list. The Mods can edit it though.

My bad on that one. It does update the title in the thread itself, but not in the index of the subforum. I can't say if CF ever allowed it either, but I know that software wise it is possible. It's part of the configuration and is defined by time in minutes. Not the first time I forgot about the title being handled differently between thread listing and subforum listing.
