Maybe this is a weird question, but I just want to check. Are private messages truly private? I know you can look up posts to threads for anyone, but I didn't know if there was a way someone can see your pm messages, ecspecially if you are comparison shopping for example.

Your private messages are private. Nobody else can see them. And once they are deleted, they cannot be retrieved since they are not backed up.
