Default Found Fix for Time Out Issue

As I posted in the other thread..for like a month now, this site keeps timing out on me. I have deleted cookies, tried Firefox, everything.

Today I finally found a fix. The problem is..on my internet connection..one of the banner ads on this site is being routed through a bad switch somewhere on the interwebs, which makes the ad time out, and takes the page load with it. To fix this..I loaded Firefox with adblock and blocked the top & bottom banner ads. Since then, the site has been the fastest I have seen with no page load issues. I know internet brands won't like blocking banner ads..but I think it is a better solution for members then not visiting the site at all. At least untill the issue is fixed.

I'm going to try this. I figured we were just stuck with pages that wouldn't load and I am shocked more people haven't complained. I guess everyone just got used to it.

you take a great risk of getting a virus by usin internet explorer. Not sure what the hell is happening here as of late but periodically getting redirected to some virus site. And it is not just me...

In addition to deleting your CorvetteForum cookies (there will be multiple), make sure your bookmark to CorvetteForum is using a forums.corvetteforum prefix and not a corvetteforums.com/forums. The latter will work, but if you login using that link, you may have log in issues.

Internet explorer is safe especially with how later versions have been coded and seperated from the kernal. Many businesses use IE exclusively. The only reason I used firefox for my fix is it was easy to find an adblock plug in..where that does not seem to exist for free on IE (or fining it required more effort than I wanted to expend).
