What are those things
On some threads, to the right, just by the posting date, there is what looks like a tag lable. Just want to know what they are, what they do, and how do they get there.

They are indeed "tags" and they are automatically assigned based on the content of the thread. The actual tag keywords appear in the bottom of threads in the "tags" box; and if you click each keyword tag it will take you to other threads on CF associated with that keyword. So, it's kind of like a secondary search or categorization feature.

On every thread page its below all of the replies above the "QUICK REPLY" box; its called "tags"; you can also view all tags on this page http://forums.corvetteforum.com/tags/
