Default e-mail overload

i'll get this all figured out one bit at a time. in case you didn't notice i'm not the most computer savy guy you ever met.
i keep getting e-mail notification every time a new post is made in a thread i either started or posted on. i went to the cp and selected 'no e-mail notification' and i'm still getting them. what am i missing?

Changing to "No email notification" in the UserCP is correct. In addition, since you previously were posting in threads with email subscription, you will need to opt out of those emails as well.

You have 7 subscribed threads and 5 of them have Instant email notification while the other 2 have no email notification. Once you change the 5 to no email notification, you should be set.

If this doesn't make sense, it's because the Subscription changes aren't retroactive. When you made the change in the UserCP section, it applied from then on forward. It does not change the past threads in which you subscribed with email notification.

Visit this link, select all threads, and select "no email notification":

You'll then be set.
