Were you hoping it would keep the vendor's thread title from appearing on the title page? It will not do that. But, if you open the vendor's thread, the content of the vendor's post should not be visible.

Several forum members have complained lately about the number of vendor threads in particular forums. We've been led to believe that there are rules for how many threads a vendor can have at a time and how often they can bump them to the top of the title page.
The number of vendor threads vs other threads is probably higher right now because of the Black Friday frenzy and because fewer regular forum members are posting.
However, I would suggest that if you have a problem with a particular vendor, send a PM to one of the moderators for that forum about that vendor. If you complain about it in an open thread in that forum, your thread will just get locked like several have been.
