User CP and points question?

Whats the deal with user points? Never heard about them until someone made a silly thread about a few others and myself.

Hope it is ok to ask this question.

I do know each user has comments section that mods see to document the history of a users posting.

So mod "A" deletes a post a user made.
goes to Users comment section mods have access to and reads past rule breakage posted by other mods and may add more comments.

I found this info out the hard way.

I dont see that I have any points, but I did see a warning PM from a long time ago. I guess I should check my PMs from user cp cuz I didnt notice quite a few PMs... all old. :o
