[correctly sized] avatar pic upload fail

Hello,

I am trying to upload a picture for my avatar and am striking out thus far. I have resized the image to fit under the 250x250 resolution as well as the kb size, but it will not upload. I keep getting a message saying upload failed.

Any thoughts?

The limit is 150 pixels X 150 pixels or 24.4KB whichever is smaller.

It says 250x250, but I brought it down to 141x79, 3.36kb and it still will not work.

Jim has it correct. Avatars, which display to the left side of your posts (just under your username), are restricted to 150 by 150 pixels or 24.4 KB (whichever is smaller). They are also restricted to static images (no animations).

The Profile picture, which only displays in your profile, is restricted to 250 by 250 pixels or 39.1 KB (whichever is smaller).

If this still does not help, please post the picture so that I can review.

Thanks for your help...it looks like it worked, but I keep getting the upload failed message. I cannot argue with results and appreciate your help and the fact that I finally have a custom avatar.
