Default Some smiles no longer work

For example

:d
:u

because the software changed the captial letters to lower case letters when I hit reply.

I'm not seeing the issue. The code for smilies is CaSe sensitive, so using :d is not the same as if it were using: :D

Can you point to me where the software is changing the capital letters to lower case? It appears to be working fine for me:

I know the smiles are CaSe senstive, I have been here a long time.

If I type : (capital D) it will change it to : (lower case d) when I hit Reply. It even happen when I click on the smile. The code will start out as : (capital D) but when I hit reply it turns to : (lower case d) hence the smile no longer works.

Can you show me a direct example of where this happening? Because I was able to do it, as shown above, without any issue.

Does not appear to be changing to lower case for the above, otherwise, the smilies above would not work for me.

After doing some testing, I can replicate the issue. It will occur if you try to post the smilies by themselves. If no text is before or after them, they fail to work. This includes even if you quote a member, and just use those two smilies as a response. I found a deleted post by you with this example that helped lead to this discovery. If you add text before or after the smilies (more than just a quote), they will work.

Strange bug. I'll look into it.
