My recent topics never works

My recent topics never works
For a long time now my recent topics is giving me fits. I have to click on it a good 30 times before it works. For years i would always click on the last 5 days and i was there, now it just hangs and i have to click 4 and 5 days real fast and keep doing it about 15 times.

What browser?
Is the problem that when you click on the link, nothing happens? Or is the problem that the browser's status bar shows that the process is waiting?
It may take up to 30 seconds to pull the data from the database. This is a known issue and is being looked into to try and reduce that time. However, with as a large and active as CF is, there may be some delays.

Most times once i go thru all the clicking it's good for the rest of the day and i just click once and boom i am there in a sec.

There is a known issue with the My Recent Topics sometimes taking up to 30 seconds to process as it queries the database. While it may take up to 30 seconds to process, it may process much faster at a given time (within seconds). I'll check to see if there is a status update. However, with as large and active as CF is, there is going to be some queries that are a bit slow and sometimes those queries may take longer than other times as we're all sharing CF's resources.
I don't think you clicking, repeatedly, and faster, on the link will net you quicker results. MySQL still has to query the database and construct the information. If you try it one time and leave it, I'm sure it will turn up results pretty much on time as if you were repeatedly clicking on it.

Just as a data point, I clicked the My Recent Topics for the last 5 days of my posts this afternoon about 4 PM CDT and timed it. It took about 68 seconds. I am running Firefox 4.0.1 with AdBlockerPlus.

I normally get on at about 830-9AM. The first time I bring up recent topics usually takes about 30+ seconds. During the day if I go back there it normally comes up in a few seconds.
Been like this so long I figured it was just SOP for here! I punch on recent topics go to the kitchen refill my coffee cup come back sit down and it then appears!
