Default drop down menu issues

Can't get drop down menus to show up. Deleted all cookies, checked for corrupt files and reset browser but to no avail. Window's 7 PC, Internet Explorer 9. Other forum and discussion sites work fine but not CF! What am I doing wrong?

The drop-down menus are a javascript controlled element that is hosted on ibrsv.net. If you're blocking that domain or not allowing external scripts, the drop-down menus will not function.

Good that you found a solution, but haven't had a problem with Explorer 9. Don't use it much, though.

probably user error on this end but now that all is working, I think I'll leave it alone. interesting that my other forums all worked with the Explorer 9 installed but CF did not. anyway, thanks for the help!

That's because of the way CF is setup. The javascript that programs the drop-down menus is hosted offsite (parent site) and would be considered an external script while, by default, the script is normally in-house. The other sites you visit most likely have the default environment of having that script hosted in-house.

In CF's case, it would be considered an external script. Allowing external scripts to run is sometimes considered a security issue, and thus, may be disabled on the browser or security software with the ability to override.
