Default 2 clicks??

Forum didn't give me the courtesy of moving it. So here it is again.

I find 90% of the time. I have to click double on any Forum link or page. This has been happening for the last few months.

It doesn't matter which computer I am on.

I think their webservice is letting them (us) down.

Am I the only one?

Not only that. The site has become unforgivably slow at peak hours.

And it's not my internet provider. Others sites change like TV channels.

Is this with IE9? There have been a few reports that this issue exists with IE9 and is not isolated to CorvetteForum only. Using IE8, Firefox and Chrome browsers, the issue does not appear to be duplicated.

As far as the speed issues, I'm not seeing any current speed issues and I've not seen recent reports. There was some performance issues that appeared earlier today that were being addressed.

Comparing this site to any other another site is difficult due to the variances involved. Rarely are two sites alike. Some are within the control of the site, while others are not. Routing between you and CorvetteForum is one of those things that isn't directly in our control, but can show a night and day difference when comparing two sites that use different routing.

Try posting a traceroute to CorvetteForum so that we can see the routing between you and CF. Otherwise, at this moment, server load does not appear to be alarming and I'm not seeing performance issues at this moment, or in the past (except for an isolated issue earlier today).

As a forum member that uses FireFox and gets on the forum 5 or 6 times a day, the only glitch I've seen today was from about 5:50 PM CDT to about 6:20 PM CDT. Other than that, I've not seen much slow down in the forum access today.

I've not ever had a case where I had to double click on a forum link or page.

I do have IE 9 on my PC, but hardly ever use it.

I ran this in the C2 section. 3 out 5 had the same issue.

I am not new to this.

I am a power user to say the least.

It is not and IE9 issue. If it is? The Forum folks need to fix that.90% of the users use IE. I have been using IE9 since it came out. At first many sites had issues. I have had NO issues on other sites for at least 6 months
. I used to not have the issue here until the last 1-2 months.

So please folks don't try to sell me on your favorite browser.

This is not an isolated issue and thats why they closed it in the C2 Forum. Too many were agreeing with me. They know theres no traffic here.

I am sick of double clicking this site!

IT'S THE ONLY ONE!
Bottom line theres and issue here and it's not on my end. They responses to my other CLOSED thread show that.

Maybe one of the Microsoft updates screwed things up? Either way. I am not the only member with this issue.

Hope it works out?

I was not trying to sell you a browser. It doesn't matter to me, nor do I believe it matters to others, which browser you use. My point of question was to isolate the issue. As a few others in your other thread suggests, there was a few in there that confirmed the issue resulted with IE9 and/or an upgrade to IE9. So there appears to be a factor there as I questioned.

The reason why your thread in the C1/C2 section was closed, as the Moderator stated, was because there is a specific help section (this section) for such problems. If there was any issue with reporting an issue that wanted to be dismissed, this thread probably would have been locked as well

We will look into it further.

Ok I am using chrome at this moment and the issue is not there.

Guess one of the Microsoft updates messed things up?
Not sure what ya'll have to do? But it sounds like a conflict between the Forum and the most widely used browser.

I will just use chrome for the Forum.

I did some checking and I can see there has been some reports on other sites with members seeing a similar issue that appears isolated to IE9. Can you try adding CorvetteForum.com to your Compatibility list in IE and seeing if that takes care of the issue (for now)?
