way to display thread start date?
Is there a way to display the thread start date without opening the thread?
I'll often find myself well into, and have occasionally respoded to, a thread before I realise it's ancient.
I didn't see anything in the options to do this.

only option to limit threads to recent stuff is to go into User CP and select
Default Thread Age Cut Off
You may specify a time period from which to display threads. Threads older than the age you specify will not be shown.
however if someone else has replied to the thread I don't think that will help you...

Cool Previews as an add-on to FireFox is the next best thing. It does technically open the thread, but you still have the title page on the screen too, and you can exit back to the title page without ever leaving it.
