New "Search" Box?

New "Search" Box?
So did a new Search box just appear? It's on the index page as well as all of the sections. If you are in one of the sections and clock on the usual "Search this Forum then enter a search criteria, it also appears in the new box.
Will it work as a global search tool for a value or values throughout the CF??

I've already tried it and it seems to search ALL forums and all past dates beginning with today. Not sure how far back it goes because the common word I used for the search stopped at 250 returned posts.
To clarify, I did not get another search function first. I just used the search box that's on the title page of all forums that I peruse daily. So, all I entered was a search word and clicked the search button.
