Anyone else having problems with internet explorer on Corvette Forum
I also use Firefox and it has been working fine.
I tried using another computer (my laptop) and it has the same problem when I use IE. The failure is that it starts to load and then it comes up with an error message window that IE can not open the internet site. Operation aborted. When I close that error box the page goes to a white screen that states Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage.
IE works fine on every other site I try, so I think it must be something with this forum site. Any chances it will get fixed?
Go to Tools, Internet Options, Advanced tab and then uncheck the "Enable third-party browser extension" under the Browsing section. Restart IE and see if that works.

I did put IE8 on one computer, but I do not like IE8 because it has a nagware on every page when it opens to turn on automatic updates. I use dial up sometimes and with automatic updates it basically locks up the computer frequently to download and install updates. I prefer to do updates on my schedule.

The slow loading's been going on for a few weeks, didn't think much of it til lately when the drop-down menu's stopped working properly.
I just tried the forum in Chrome and Firefox (which I both have also loaded on my home system) and it appears to load quickly and work fine. I don't think it's a problem with a particular version of IE, but IE in general.
Hope this helps, as IE's my main browser at home, and the only one we use at work.

IE does have problems, but many of us have to use it.
Does anyone know why this site doesn't work (or work very well) with IE when most sites work fine? And can it be fixed?
A while back I noticed it start slowing down (and locking up sometimes) when the site started to tie in facebook. I wonder if it has something to do with that?

I've been having "slow loading" issues for quite a while now. TODAY, I'm finding that I'm having to double click on the "back" arrows, when navigating through the site. And that's something new....
