Default Problem on CF Using Chrome

I am curious if anyone else is having the same problem I am having on CF. The problem started within the last 60 days, give or take.

I use Google Chrome as my browser. On Corvette Forum, when I click on any link, it seems to take a long time for the link to execute when it does work and I frequently get timeout messages.

It happens on no other websites and doesn't seem to occur with IE9 or Firefox.

Has anyone else had this same experience?

I have been using Chrome for about a month now and have not noticed anything like that while browsing CFOT.

Since you brought up the iPad, I don't have the problem on my Macbook Pro, using Chrome, but only on my Win 7 PC.

I have noticed that too.

I don't get it....I don't have this problem with any other website, nor is it present on my MacBook Pro.

Last week, I noticed someone else complaining about the same thing.

Not really....If I had the issue with other websites, I'd say it was me, but I don't, not one single other site.

125,000 other Corvette Forum members are not having any problems.

JT is not in a position to be able to suggest it, but AdBlockerPlus, with Firefox has no problems at all.

Are you running any add-ons with Chrome? Chrome is one browser I frequently use and it's usually faster than Firefox.

I'm surprised that you're having this issue with Chrome rather than IE.

So for about the past month or so, every 5th click or so doesn't get a response back from Corvette Forums.

If I wait for a minute or so the browser will tell me it didn't get a response. If I click again right away when I notice it's not responding, it works.

This may or not be related, but about two weeks ago I was posting on these forums and managed to get some nasty spyware. It blew right through Avast and Adaware in FireFox. Wiped out all my desktop icons and Program File icons. It took me a day and a half to track down, research, and fix.

I'm now using Chrome and still getting the same intermittent delays.
Is it possible this intermittent issue has something to do with a borked server in the lineup in the datacenter where CF is hosted? I don't get this behavior with any other sites.

I'm fairly experienced with stuff like this and it sure feels like one bad server in a virtual IP lineup.
