For the last 30 minutes, it has taken 2-3 minutes for pages to load.
What I see while waiting for pages is
Waiting for forums.corvetteforum.com
Waiting for b.scorecardresearch.com
Read s-static.ak.fbcdn.net
I do see a few other things that are waiting to load but they only take a few seconds.
Occasionally I can hit the "Stop loading this page" button on the Firefox toolbar and then doing a page refresh F5 or the Reload This Page button on the toolbar and the page I want will reload in 4-5 seconds.
Every other website I visit (new window) loads immediately.
Unfortunately, "cruiser", this now seems to be normal, most of the time. I've been mentioning the "503 error", when I try to click on 'my recent topics' for the last 6-8 weeks, and others have mentioned it too. It's now pretty much "normal".....

"My Recent Topics" has been known to have a problem for awhile now if you're looking for more than 2 days.
As far as other aspects of reading and posting, I've not had a problem lately. Firefox seems to have fewer problems than several versions of IE.

except for me it is due to the number of posts I have...(at least thats what the tech guys say )
I have in the past experienced the problems the OP is speaking of just not lately....it does suck when its you though

I don't see any 503 page errors. I don't use "My Recent Topics" so I can't say whether or not there is any relationship between that feature and any outside servers or websites that may be an issue. It was just taking time for pages to load. I don't know if the URL's I mentioned are some of the vendor ads (I use AdBlocker + with FF).
A day after I started the thread, everything seemed to be back to normal; excellent speed for page loading and no waiting. It really isn't very often that I see huge slowdowns; sometimes a page may take 3-4 seconds to load and that's not a problem for me.
Today, logged on, as usual took 30 seconds to be "recognized"....and as usual, went directly to "my recent topics". OK, I tried to limit my search to "last 2 days", in an effort to speed things up.
I got the "503 error" 5 times, on the 6th try, I got the "no matches" message, and on the 7th attempt, finally got into my "last 2 days".....
Yes, I realize my post count is well over 14,000, BUT I'm only trying to view the last 10-15 of them........
