You'll need to edit the photos with a photo editing software to scale them down and/or crop them to the size restriction that is noted in the profile picture upload section.
There are several programs available that are free, such as The Gimp: http://www.gimp.org/ or IrfanView: http://www.irfanview.com/
Or, you can link the photo here and I'll edit it.
Make sure you're wanting a Profile Picture. Profile Pictures are generally only displayed on your profile page: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/memb...86-abates.html
Avatars are displayed to the left of each of your posts, under your username.
Avatars and Profile pictures are two different things.
