Default Where did this thread go?

I was in the middle of reading a thread I had subscribed to and participated within concerning BendPak lifts, and when I went to read the last page, I got an error message saying I could not access that page.

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show...post1581067197

Then I could no longer access ANY of the pages!

So what happened to the thread? I posted a really nice "attaboy" about BendPak there and do hope it hasn't just vanished.

JimTN moved the thread to the Boneyard with the following provided:
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/foru...s-or-more.html

I don't know the details, but if you want to discuss this with JimTN, you can contact him:

There seems to be at least one post in that thread with a URL and other information for a vendor that does not seem to be a forum vendor. It was moved to the boneyard until it could be verified whether he's a forum vendor or not.

It was also past the 45 day limit when it was revived, although the posts added after the 45 day limit might marginally be of benefit to forum members.

Thanks for getting back to me about this.

Regardless, I went through some modest effort to post a nice "attaboy" about BendPak and then described an issue in that same post, with photos, concerning clearance issues with C6Zs that optional forward arms on the lift will alleviate. Sort of puts quite a damper on my enthusiasm to make such posts in the future if they will simply be deleted after 45 days. I mean, heck, why bother, if it will just be wasted effort? It's not like such information will be stale after 45 days and is time sensitive.......

And do I understand this correctly that URLs to any non-paying forum vendor posted by a customer will NOT be allowed here?

If the non-paying vendor is selling a product that one or more paying vendors sells.

Here's part of the forum rule.

Members are not prohibited from mentioning it when they have a good (or bad, for that matter) experience with a non-supporting vendor. But such mentions cannot be so specific (address, phone number, e-mail address, URL, price, part number, offer to send contact information via PMs, etc.) or so frequent that they become marketing and promotional references.

The first consideration was for whether or not a forum vendor sells lifts.

The thread could be reopened if the additional posts contribute to the discussion and the vendor situation is handled.

Deleting the thread and closing it are not the same. Closing it still allows it to be available for reference.

The thread has been opened and moved back to the C5 Forced Induction forum, with a post added to explain the thread situation.
