Set up an account a couple of days ago but never received automatic email to confirm account. Did send mail to 'Contact us' but still have not recieved confirmation. Thanks for your help.

Email notifications are currently not working, so that's why you probably didn't receive the email activation. I don't have an ET for resolution, but the issue is known and is being investigated.
