My computer locks up with an Unresponsive Script error message every time I use Firefox while surfing CF. IE works fine. None of the other forums I frequent lock up with FF. What's the deal?
What exactly is the error? What plugins are you using?
I use Firefox and haven't seen such an issue.

The message state that "a script on this page may be busy, or may have stopped being responsive. You can stop the script now,or you can continue to see if the script will complete."
Both options lead to a locked up FF browser. I check my plug-ins and only Java needed to be updated. Unfortunately, that didn't fix the bug.
It's the Allstate banner ad at the top of the page that is causing it. I just keep hitting ctrl+F5, ctrl+F5, ctrl+F5, until I get some other ad to show up besides Allstate.
Try it next time you get the unresponsive script. Keep going until you get some ad besides Allstate, it won't freeze up on you. Guarantee.
And it's not just the corvetteforum. When I get one of those Allstate ads on any other site, Firefox locks up, and you get the "unresponsive script" notice.
Sorry I'm no help in fixing it, but that ad is what's causing it.
The error message could be due to a number of things, such as a plugin - which the OP stated having some installed. However, if there is a connection with a specific ad, let us know so that we can investigate and/or remove it.

Been searching the web trying to find a connection. Found this:
Firefox is reporting numerous scripts that are unresponsive or doing some funny ****. Rendering the site almost useless to me

im running the fox also and the allstate add makes everything supper slow
---
You are right, The Allstate "Mayhem" advertisement on top was always there when the script was running. It was showing up every page I went to.
All is good now, Allstate Mayhem ad has not been back
---
THE MAYHEM ADVERTISEMENT IS BACK. GET RID of THAT ADVERTISEMENT
Starting yesterday, I have been getting "script errors" on the QB. No matter whether I click on "continue" or "stop", the error keeps popping back up. I can't "X" out of it and the QB freezes. I have to do a Ctl, Alt, Delete shutdown to even get out of the screen. Even then, when I go back to the QB, the same error happens again. I have even done a "restore" prior to yesterday's date to get rid of "it" but no luck.

One thing I have noticed is that the Allstate ad that was usually across the top of the page is no longer there. There is another ad. Don't know how the ads work in connection with the QB content but that I would mention this.
We are working on the issue. I thought the ad was removed from the pool. To make sure, next time you see it, please provide the click-through link for the ad to make sure that we've got it.
